"Aku hilang haus kerana minum air" syirik. Hilang dahaga kerana minum air hanyalah asbab. Yang menghilangkan dahaga itu Allah SWT.
Believed that blessings come without a reason, and that people should simply trust in Allah.
Believed that people need to work hard and make an effort to receive blessings.
The story goes that Imam Syafii was walking when he saw people harvesting grapes. He helped them, and in return received some grapes. He was happy, not because of the grapes, but because he had an opportunity to share his views with Imam Malik. He went to Imam Malik and told him about his experience. Imam Malik smiled, took the grapes, and tasted them. He said, "This is also a blessing that comes without a reason. Trust in Allah, do your part, and let Allah take care of the rest". Imam Syafii laughed and the two men laughed together.
Imam Malik and Imam Syafii showed Muslims how to deal with differences. They didn't blame each other or try to force their own opinions.
